We have been in Roatan for 2 weeks now and everyone is settling into a regular routine. We see new tourists wandering the streets and we feel like veterans compared to them. It has been raining quite a bit, although this morning it held off and we went back to Gumbalimba Park again to visit the monkeys. They are lots of fun and the kids seem to really get a kick out them. See the video below for some of the action.
I have finished my third book and my third bottle of wine! Last night we went out to dinner at the “King Crab Restaurant”. Tom had the King Crab – it was huge, but he was able to manage most of it. I had the Snapper, which was Bar-be-qued over coals at the front of the seating area. They served it whole, with the head and tail still attached. Kate didn’t want any of it… what a surprise! It was good, but too much. Kate and Chris had pasta which they enjoyed.
Tomorrow we are going up the island to a place called Jonestown. There is an all you can eat buffet on a barge called the "Hole in the Wall" that is supposed to be a “must do.” All the locals are suppose to go there. There are also Mangrove trees nearby that grow into the waterways that you can tour via boat. Supposedly the Pirates in the 1800's cut a path through the Mangroves so they could hide from the British. Maybe we will find some treasure. Here's hoping!

Sounds like an incredible start to the adventure. This is my first time to 'check in'. I'll be tracking a little more closely from now on. We finally broke the -30's here ...up to +5.
I can tell you a few other places where you'll have to take your own wine....but glad you could enjoy the 50th 'in spite of'. Take care
